Un frontón es la parte triangular superior de una pared que forma el extremo de un techo inclinado. Se ve comúnmente en la arquitectura tradicional o clásica.

'Gable' se usa principalmente en contextos arquitectónicos, sobre todo al hablar de casas e iglesias. Frases comunes: 'gable roof', 'gable end'. No confundir con 'gable window' (ventana en el frontón). Es poco frecuente fuera de la arquitectura y el diseño.
