Forjar significa dar forma a un metal mediante calor y golpes. También puede significar crear una copia falsa de algo, como un documento o una firma.

En metalurgia, es técnico y formal. En contextos de delito, se usa en 'forging a signature' ('falsificar una firma'). No confundir con 'forget' (olvidar). 'Forging' se refiere al proceso, 'forgery' al objeto falso.
