何かや誰かを、特に水や液体を使って強制的に外に出すこと。また、不要なものを取り除く場合にも使う。

実際に水や空気で押し流す場合と、比喩的に誰かを表に出す場合にも使う。'flush out of hiding'は隠れている人を見つけ出す意味。
