小雪ちらつき

Definition

短い間だけ雪が軽く降ること、または雪がちらちら舞う様子を表します。天気予報などでよく使われます。まれに急な行動を表すこともありますが、主に雪関連の意味です。

天気予報で「小雪」「雪がちらつく」として使われ、激しい雪（吹雪）とは異なります。多くは複数形で表されます。

There are flurries in the forecast tonight.

今夜の予報では**小雪**が降るようです。

We saw flurries during our walk this morning.

今朝の散歩中、**小雪**が舞っていました。

Sometimes flurries come and go quickly.

時々、**小雪**はすぐに降ったり止んだりします。
