Definition

「fleabags」はとても汚い、または安い宿泊施設や、ノミだらけで汚れている犬や猫などの動物を指します。

カジュアルでやや侮辱を含む表現です。宿の場合「ボロ宿」、動物なら冗談っぽく言いますが、きれいな場所やペットには使いません。「fleabag motel」は典型的なスラングです。

We stayed in two old fleabags last summer.

去年の夏、私たちは２つの古い**ボロ宿**に泊まった。
