가득 채우다

Definition

용기나 탱크 등을 최대한 가득 차게 채우는 것. 주로 주유소나 음식을 많이 먹을 때 사용된다.

일상 회화에서 주로 사용되며, 주유나 포식을 나타낼 때 자주 쓴다. 'fill out/fill in'은 서류 작성에서 더 자연스럽다. 격식을 차린 말에는 덜 적합하다.

Please fill up the gas tank before returning the car.
