犯罪を犯したとされる人を、犯罪が起きた国や州へ正式に引き渡すことです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

法律用語で使われ、特に国際間での受け渡しに用います。「deport」とは異なり、犯罪事件の場合に使われます。条約や政府の承認が必要な場合が多いです。
