栓子是指像血塊或氣泡等微粒，會隨著血液流動並可能堵塞血管。

醫學術語，多在臨牀及學術場合出現。勿與“血栓”（thrombus，於原地形成且停留的血塊）混淆。常見搭配有“肺栓子”“脂肪栓子”“空氣栓子”。一般生活不常用。
