途切れず低くて単調な音や声。ハミングやブーンと鳴る音、または抑揚のない話し方を指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

周囲のうるさい機械音や一貫性のない退屈な話し方に使う。'droning voice' は「だらだらとした声」の意味で、心地よい音には使わない。
