Definition

法的な書類（登記簿や譲渡証書）によって、所有権が譲り渡されたこと。主に不動産の取引で使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ほとんどが法律や不動産関連で使われ、日常会話ではあまり使いません。「The house was deeded to～」のように受け身で表現します。「良い行い（deeds）」とは意味が違います。

家は私の両親に**譲渡された**。

The land was deeded to the school.

土地は学校に**譲渡された**。

The company deeded the property to its new owner.

会社は物件を新しい所有者に**譲渡した**。
