Definition

嚴重損壞、毀滅或大量減少某物的數量。最初意思是“每十人中殺一人”，但現在通常指大部分遭摧毀。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

多用於正式或描述性語境，常指人口、產業或環境遭大範圍破壞（如「森林被大火摧毀」）。現今不再限定為十分之一。易與「毀滅」混淆。
