'Deceive into' के बाद क्रिया आती है ('deceive into giving'). यह औपचारिक और नकारात्मक है; 'persuade' (राज़ी करना) से न मिलाएँ, जिसमें धोखा नहीं होता। अक्सर passive में मिलता है।
