他の人と一緒に書類（主にローンや契約）に署名し、もしその人ができなかった場合に支払い責任を負うこと。

金融や法律の場面で使います。'Cosign a loan' は支払い義務を共に負うという意味で、単なる署名の証人とは異なります。
