짧은 중단이 있을 수 있지만 자주 반복되어 일어나는 일. 완전히 멈추지 않고 계속 반복됨.

'Continual'은 잠깐씩 멈추면서 자주 반복될 때 씁니다. 'Continuous'(끊임없이)와 혼동하지 마세요. 'continual noise', 'continual interruptions'와 같이 부정적인 상황에 자주 쓰입니다.

We had continual rain all week.
