Definition

법이나 명령에 의해 누군가를 강제로 군대에 보내는 것. 이렇게 징집된 사람을 가리키기도 한다.

군사, 법률적 상황에서 자주 쓰이며, 동사로는 ‘징집하다’, 명사로는 ‘징집병’이 된다. 자발적으로 입대한 '자원자'와 혼동하지 않는다.
