किसी चीज़ या व्यक्ति के पास आना, या किसी लक्ष्य या परिणाम को लगभग हासिल कर लेना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

शारीरिक रूप से पास आने या लगभग कुछ हासिल करने दोनों के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है ('come close to winning' यानी 'लगभग जीत गए'). 'come close to' के बाद अक्सर क्रिया का '-ing' रूप आता है। इसका उपयोग मापी गई दूरी के लिए नहीं होता।
