路上などで女性に対して向けられる、下品で失礼な発言や口笛、または公の場で不満を表すヤジやブーイング。

「catcalls」は街頭で女性に向けた失礼な声掛けやセクハラ発言によく使いますが、舞台などでのヤジやブーイングの意味もあります。フォーマルな場面では避け、「street harassment」の方が一般的です。
