Bir oyuncuya bir oyunda, filmde veya dizide belirli bir rol vermek ya da birini/bir şeyi belirli bir şekilde göstermek.

"Cast as" genellikle tiyatro ve sinemada kullanılır, ayrıca mecazi olarak birinin nasıl algılandığını göstermek için geçer. Sıkça bir rol adı gelir: 'cast as the villain'. 'cast' (atmak) ile karıştırma.
