他よりも圧倒的に優れていることを強調する表現。最上級を強調する時に使う。

基本的に最上級（“the best”など）と一緒に使い、“by far the best”の形で強調する。比較級（'better'等）とは一緒に使わない。

This is by far the best movie I have seen.
