Definition

ある場所で生まれ、そこで育ったことを表す言い方で、その地域との強いつながりを示します。

主に自己紹介や出身地を強調する場面で使います。「I'm born and raised in...」のような形で使われ、物や動物には用いません。

I was born and raised in New York.

私はニューヨークで**生まれ育った**。

She is born and raised in this village.
