다른 지역이나 국가와 직접 맞닿아 있거나 경계를 공유하는 것, 혹은 어떤 상태에 거의 다다른 경우를 의미합니다.

'스페인과 인접한 국가들'처럼 지리적 맥락에서 자주 쓰입니다. 비유적으로는 'bordering on rude'처럼 거의 ~한 상태임을 나타냅니다. 'bordering on' 다음에 형용사/명사가 옵니다.

France is bordering Spain to the north.

프랑스는 북쪽에서 스페인과 **인접해 있습니다**.
