특히 경매에서 더 높은 가격을 제시하거나 다른 사람이 그러도록 독려하여 가격을 올리는 것.
Usage Notes (Korean)
주로 사업이나 경매에서 사용하며, 의도적 또는 경쟁적으로 가격을 올린다는 뜻. 가격/입찰 맥락 외에는 사용하지 않음. "build up"와 혼동 금지. 자주 "bid up the price" 형태로 쓰임.
