'Batted' é o passado de 'bat'. Significa ter batido em algo com um bastão (como em esportes) ou ter piscado rapidamente os cílios.

Uso formal em esportes, especialmente beisebol ou críquete: 'batted the ball.' Também usado em expressões como 'batted an eye' (mostrar pouca emoção). Não usado para o animal 'morcego'. Evite confundir com 'beat' ou 'hit'.
