কোনো কিছু নিজের সর্বোচ্চ দক্ষতা ও চেষ্টা দিয়ে করার কথা বোঝায়, যদিও ফলাফল আদর্শ নাও হতে পারে।

প্রায়ই চাপ বা সীমাবদ্ধতার মধ্যে ব্যবহার হয়। 'do your best' থেকে আলাদা, কারণ এখানে পরিস্থিতির সীমাবদ্ধতা তুলে ধরা হয়।
