ফরমাল এবং কিছুটা একাডেমিক শব্দ; 'antagonise someone', 'antagonise the crowd'—এভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'provoke' বা 'irritate' থেকে একটু আলাদা, কারণ এখানে শত্রুতা বা স্পষ্ট বিরোধ বোঝানো হয়।
