Definition

জলযানকে স্থির রাখতে পানিতে ফেলা ভারী ধাতুর বস্তু। এটি সাধারণত রশি বা চেইনে বাঁধা থাকে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

বেশিরভাগ নৌকা, জাহাজ বা সামুদ্রিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহার হয়। রূপক অর্থে স্থিতিশীলতার প্রতীক হিসেবে ও ব্যবহার হয়, যেমন 'পরিবার আমার নোঙর'। 'নোঙর ফেলা', 'নোঙর তোলা' ইত্যাদি সংযোগে দেখা যায়।
