相手の行動やミスを改善するように、優しくしかし真剣に注意すること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「admonish」は上司や年上が目下の人に優しく注意する際など、ややフォーマルな場面で使われます。「叱る」ほど強くありません。よく「～のことで注意する」という形で使います。
