매우 빠르고 짧게 무언가나 누군가를 보는 것, 마치 순간적으로 보는 것처럼.

이 표현은 문학적, 서정적으로 사용된다. 순간적이고 감정이 담긴 시선을 강조할 때 쓰인다. 'quick glance', 'brief look' 같은 유사 표현도 있다. 자세히 볼 때는 잘 사용하지 않는다.
