Definition

誰かや何かがとても速く、時には「サッ」という音を立てて通り過ぎること。車や人、物が素早く移動する時によく使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にカジュアルな場面で使われ、「車がさっと通り過ぎる」といった場面や、時間が素早く経つ比喩としても使います。'walk past'（ゆっくり通る）とは異なります。
