किसी खास जगह पर तब तक रुकना जब तक कुछ नहीं होता या कोई नहीं आता, जैसे बस स्टॉप, दरवाज़े या स्टेशन पर।

अमूमन खास जगह के बाद ('wait at the door', 'wait at the station') इस्तेमाल होता है। 'wait for' से मत मिलाएँ, जो व्यक्ति या वस्तु के लिए इंतजार है; 'wait at' स्थान के लिए है। बोलचाल की साधारण अंग्रेज़ी।
