অফিস, বিজনেস, খেলাধুলা ও নিত্যদিনের কথোপকথনে অপ্রাতিষ্ঠানিকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'up the ante' বলতে উদ্দেশ্য আরও বড় করা বোঝায়।
