恥ずかしい、タブー、または不適切とされ、公に話せないこと。時にはユーモアや婉曲表現で下着を指すこともある。

恥ずかしい話題やタブーなことに使います。衣類について「unmentionables」といえば下着を指しますが、日常会話ではあまり使われません。軽い冗談や遠回し表現で使われることが多いです。
