यह अभिव्यक्ति जोर देती है कि 'किसी भी हालत में कभी नहीं', चाहे कुछ भी हो जाए। इसका उपयोग यह कहने के लिए किया जाता है कि कोई चीज़ किसी भी स्थिति में नहीं होनी चाहिए।

यह बहुत औपचारिक और ज़ोर देने वाला वाक्यांश है। आमतौर पर वाक्य के शुरू में आता है और बाद में उलटे क्रम में क्रिया आती है: 'Under no circumstances should you...'. कठोर नियम या चेतावनी के लिए आम है।
