Definition

কোনো উঁচু স্থান থেকে হঠাৎ ও নিয়ন্ত্রণহীনভাবে পড়ে যাওয়া বা গড়িয়ে পড়া, অথবা ভবন বা বস্তু ধসে পড়া-বিপর্যস্ত হয়ে পড়া।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

মানুষ বা বস্তুর ঢালু, সিঁড়ি বা পাহাড় থেকে গড়িয়ে পড়ে যাওয়ার ঘটনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। পুরোনো বাড়ি-ঘর ধসে পড়ার ক্ষেত্রেও ('tumble down house') ব্যবহার হয়। সাধারণত অব্যবস্থাপনায়/অজান্তেই পড়ে যাওয়া বোঝায়, ছোটখাটো পড়ে যাওয়া মানায় না।
