أن يهتز الشخص أو الشيء قليلاً، غالبًا بسبب البرد أو الخوف أو الحماس.

يُستخدم غالبًا للأشخاص أو الحيوانات، وأحيانًا للأشياء. غالبًا يأتي مع 'with': 'tremble with fear/cold'. أكثر رسمية من 'shake'، ويشير عادة إلى ارتجاف خفيف بسبب عاطفة أو طقس.
