Se algo transpira, acontece ou vem a saber-se, por vezes depois de ser mantido em segredo. Em ciência, também pode referir-se a plantas que libertam vapor de água.

Estilo formal ou literário, usual em notícias. Empregado para fatos secretos ou inesperados ('it transpired that...'). O uso científico (plantas) é técnico. Não confundir com 'suar' em contextos diários.
