Expresión informal, muchas veces se usa como 'tough it out.' Resalta la resistencia durante situaciones duras, no se usa para problemas pequeños. Parece a 'aguantar' pero con énfasis en la dificultad. No confundir con 'endurecerse' ('toughen up').
