魚雷で船などを攻撃・沈没させること。また、計画や提案などを意図的に妨害・潰すことも表す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

軍事で実際の攻撃のほか、日常会話では「計画がtorpedoedされた」など意図的な妨害にも用います。「ruined」よりもやや強い表現です。
