トマホーク（斧）のように腕を振り下ろして、何かを力強く投げたり打ったりすること。スポーツでよく使われる表現。

主にスポーツ実況や解説で使われる表現で、日常会話ではあまり使いません。「tomahawked the ball」なら、ボールを力強く上から叩いたイメージです。
