Definition

作物を植えるために耕運機や鍬などで耕された土地のこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に農地に使われ、庭や森には使いません。「tilled fields」「tilled soil」などとよく組み合わせて使います。単なる「穴を掘る」意味ではありません。
