Períodos cortos de lluvia que vienen acompañados de truenos y, a veces, relámpagos.

Principalmente usado en reportes meteorológicos. Se refiere a lluvias intensas pero breves con truenos; no es una tormenta continua. Es más común en inglés americano y suele usarse en plural: 'scattered thundershowers'. No se usa igual que 'thunderstorm', que describe tormentas más largas e intensas.
