Definition
"The nod", genellikle kafa yukarı-aşağı hareketiyle onay, izin veya anlaşma gösteren bir jesttir. Bazı durumlarda birinin desteğini veya iznini almak anlamına gelir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Genellikle gayri resmi; sessiz bir onay anlamına gelir. Spor veya eğlencede 'get the nod' birinin seçilmesi demektir. 'give the nod' (onaylamak), 'get the nod' (seçilmek/onaylanmak) kalıplarında sık görülür. Her zaman kelime anlamı olmayabilir.
