因為某人做錯事而生氣地跟他說話；訓斥或責備某人。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

多用於非正式場合，常對小孩、學生或下屬訓斥。“tell off”比“警告”強，但沒“嚴厲懲處”那麼正式。常見搭配：“get told off”，“tell someone off for (做某事)”。不是“告訴”的意思。
