もつれとは、髪の毛やひもなどが絡まって解きにくくなった状態や、複雑で解決しにくい状況のことです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『hair tangles』『get into tangles』『untangle tangles』のように、特に髪やひもが絡まるときによく使います。感情の混乱には使いません。
