어떤 일을 중단한 후, 다시 예전 멈췄던 부분부터 이어서 시작하는 것. 처음부터 다시 하는 것이 아님.

'let's take up where we left off'처럼 대화, 업무, 공부 등에서 주로 사용하고, 물리적인 장소가 아니라 진행 과정이나 대화 내용에 쓴다. 격식 없이도 쓸 수 있다.

Let's take up where we left off after lunch.

점심 먹고 나서 **중단했던 곳에서 다시 시작합시다**.

In our next meeting, we will take up where we left off.

다음 회의에서 **중단했던 곳에서 다시 시작할 것입니다**.
