أن تشبه أحد أفراد العائلة، خاصة في الشخصية أو الشكل الخارجي.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تستخدم بصفة غير رسمية وغالبًا في العائلة فقط (ليست للأشياء). غالبًا بعدها شخص مثلاً 'take after your mother'. غير 'look like' (التي لهيئة فقط)، 'take after' تشمل التصرفات والسمات.
