Usage Notes (Spanish)

Solo se usa en voz pasiva: 'was taken aback.' Es más formal/literario, aunque común en la conversación. Se usa para sorpresa inesperada (no siempre negativa). Suele ir con 'by' ('taken aback by...'). No confundir con 'take back'.
