"swoops" in Portuguese (PT)
Definition
Move-se rapidamente pelo ar para baixo, frequentemente para apanhar algo ou atacar. Descreve normalmente aves ou aviões a fazerem um movimento rápido descendente.

Usado, sobretudo, para aves ('the eagle swoops'), aviões, ou de forma figurada para pessoas. Não se utiliza para movimentos lentos ou suaves. É comum com preposições: 'swoops down', 'swoops in'. 'Swoops' é terceira pessoa do singular no presente.
