햇빛이 잘 들어오도록 큰 창문으로 설계된 집 안의 방입니다. 주로 쉬거나 책을 읽거나 실내 식물을 기르는 데 사용됩니다.

‘Sunroom’은 미국 영어에서 주로 쓰이며, 영국 영어에서는 ‘conservatory’나 ‘glasshouse’가 대신 사용됩니다. ‘spacious sunroom’, ‘enclosed sunroom’와 같이 자주 결합해 쓰이고, 침실로는 거의 사용하지 않습니다.
