願望・仮定・疑いなど、現実でない状況や不確かな事柄を表すときに使う動詞の形や文法上のモード。

「subjunctive」は主に文法や学習の場で使われ、日常会話ではあまり見かけません。英語では「if」「wish」などの後や要求・提案をする動詞の後に登場します。
